The round with a 155 mm М107 equivalent projectile is intended for defeating hostile troops located either in the open or in field-type shelters, defeating and suppressing bunkers and other field-type fortifications, attacking artillery units and destroying armoured vehicles, breaching minefields and wire entanglements, and destroying hostile back areas, railway junctions, headquarters, and troops concentrations.
